Hey!

Most people will have noticed that our guild has lost a lot of activity lately.

Unfortunately, so have its members.

Therefore, the management has decided to make some massive changes.

In this thread we will present the first ideas that came together during the meetings with the members of our team and how we want to implement them.

This thread is about rough changes we would like to implement.

Please note that these are just initial ideas. It is not yet certain if we will actually implement these ideas.

Rename guild

Our idea behind this project sounds quite simple, but it involves a lot of work.

We want to change the complete concept of our guild. Starting with the name. Dungeon4Life was a name that suited us in the beginning, but it was actually just a crazy idea. This name was not particularly well thought out, which is why we would like to change it.

Expand focus to all of SkyBlock.

Our current focus is limited to the "Dungeons" game mode, which is one of the biggest pastimes in all of SkyBlock. The idea that we could specialize only in dungeons from the beginning was naive and once again not well thought out. We simply lacked the necessary know-how at the beginning. In the beginning, we didn't even know how to run a guild properly or how to manage it properly. At the same time, our knowledge of dungeons was also insufficient. At the beginning of February, when this guild was founded, all three members of the administration were in the early to mid-game. A mistake we will not make again.

Therefore, our decision was firm that we would like to change from a pure dungeon guild to a general SkyBlock guild. Our current level of knowledge should be more than sufficient for this and in the meantime our leadership has gained enough experience.

This plan is also based on the idea to rename our guild. "Dungeon4Life" would not be an appropriate name for a general SkyBlock guild.

However, since we have built the entire guild on the Dungeons game mode, and we don't want to just throw all that work away, a focus point will continue to be Dungeons.

New start with two guilds

This plan seems a bit confusing at first but let me explain.

We want to grow our guild as quickly as possible after all the changes so that we can stabilize our membership flow as quickly as possible. We realize that this is easier said than done, but we would like to try it. We are opening a second guild, which will probably be led by one of our team members. A new beginning is always difficult, so we hope for the support of our remaining members here.

Offering more to our members

Our guild has made the big mistake of not involving users in the development of the guild. We also have too few offerings where our members can pass the time. Therefore, we plan to change exactly this.

We want more offers for our users, such as game nights, movie nights, etc... whatever there is.

To actively involve our members in the development.

A hierarchy in the team

Our team is currently structured in such a way that the leadership has to take care of pretty much everything that concerns the team. From applications, to promotions, to task distribution.... We would like to change that.

For this purpose, a hierarchy will be introduced. Simply put, our idea can be described like this:

We want to make it so that for each area in our team there is a superior team member, who then leads this area.

Simple to say, but rather difficult to implement. The whole structure in our team needs to be renewed.

We have a lot more planned, but for now we will take care of these points.

Later on we will present and publish the other points.

Finally, I would like to make a small call.

We are currently looking for guild members who can help us with these projects, be it with suggestions for improvement or whole concepts that we can implement. These members will also receive a small reward from us at the end as a thank you for their support.

Thank you for reading.

With kind regards

LordTeeqo
